Apply to the Comfort Zone Yoga 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
Thank you for your interest in the CZY 200-Hour YTT, Fall 2026 cohort. This application helps us learn about you and confirm that we’re a good fit for each other. Please take your time with it.
The form will save your answers in a cookie on your browser, provided you aren’t using incognito/private mode and don’t clear your cache, so if you need to answer across more than one session, you’re probably fine—but consider setting aside 30–45 minutes to apply in one go.
This training is built around the craft of teaching. It privileges learning structure over memorizing anatomy and sequences. It equips you to become a clear, capable guide in any room.
Some people find that exciting. Some people don’t.

Your Relationship to Yoga
How long have you been practicing yoga, and roughly how often?
*
There’s no minimum requirement here. I just want to understand where you are in your practice.
What yoga styles have you explored?
Vinyasa, hatha, yin, restorative, Ashtanga, hot yoga, etc. List whatever comes to mind.
Are you currently teaching yoga?

Have you previously enrolled in a 200-hour yoga teacher training?

Have you previously enrolled in a 200-hour yoga teacher training?
If you completed a previous training: what felt like it was missing? If you didn’t finish: would you be willing to share what happened? No judgment—I’m just trying to understand where you are.
What’s drawing you to teach yoga at this time in your life?
*
Tell me about a moment in your own practice that changed how you understand movement, your body, or what a yoga class can be.
What do you hope to do with your certification?
*
Teach at a studio, a gym, a community center? Deepen your own practice and share informally? Build a private clientele? All of the above?
What kind of yoga teacher do you find yourself drawn to?
Comfort Zone Yoga is built around helping you become (almost) everyone’s favorite teacher—the one students trust, return to, and recommend. Tell me about a yoga teacher you’ve loved learning from. What made their classes stand out to you?
How You Approach the Work
Are you committed to creating your own teaching opportunities after graduation?
*
This means reaching out to gyms, studios, community centers, or corporate offices, rather than expecting a teaching position to be handed to you. This is a feature of the program, not a limitation: the yoga teachers who build the most sustainable careers are the ones who learn to create opportunities.

What appeals to you about creating your own teaching opportunities—and what feels uncomfortable about it, if anything?
Have you completed Find Your Teaching Voice?
*
Find Your Teaching Voice is a free mini course inside Comfort Zone Yoga. It’s the best way to experience how I teach before you invest. Not required, but strongly recommended.

Have you read The Professional Yoga Teacher’s Handbook?
*
This is the single best way to know if we’re philosophically aligned before you enroll. (And you’ll learn a lot as you read!)
Have you read The Professional Yoga Teacher’s Handbook?
Have you done online learning before? If so, what were the pros and cons for you?
*
This doesn’t need to be yoga-related. Any online course, certification, or program counts.

Do you anticipate any difficulty showing up regularly for the live sessions?
*
The live cohort meets weekly for approximately 2.5 hours, September through November 2026. We’ll collaborate as a group to find the best times (probably one weekday afternoon or early evening and one weekend afternoon), and every session is recorded as video, podcast, and transcript. These calls are highly recommended but not strictly required.
